About our Community Shabbat

Join the Jewish Federation of Reading/Berks for the annual Community Shabbat, bringing the whole Jewish community together to celebrate as one. This year, Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom will serve as host. The Kabbalat Shabbat service will begin at 6pm, followed by a kosher, catered dinner at approximately 6:45pm. Our whole Jewish community is welcome, all ages and all affiliations.

There are options for pricing: adults and teens are $36, children age 12 and under are $18, and those 3 and under are free. This year, a family of 5 or more may pay $118 total.

Community Shabbat is an open event for our Berks County Jewish community to come together to celebrate.
